Introduction

Greetings!

My name is Arash Emamzadeh and I live in Canada.

As an amateur poet, I write poetry using a variety of methods and on variety of subjects typically inspired by intellectual interests, creative zest, and personal experience—though my poems are rarely based on actual events.

I created this blog—my first and only one—in 2010 so that I can share my poems with you and ultimately find my voice.  The poems published here are in essence only drafts, so expect some to be deleted in the future, and the rest, modified constantly.

T.S. Eliot is one of my favorite poets and the blog's Address, http://Seafloors.blogspot.com, was inspired by a line in his poem, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock:

I   s h o u l d   h a v e   b e e n   a   p a i r   o f   r a g g e d   c l a w s
S c u t t l i n g   a c r o s s   t h e   f l o o r s   o f   s i l e n t   s e a s

Thanks to critics, followers, & fellow poets for visiting my blog.  I appreciate your comments and criticisms.

p.s. Twice now over the years, due to some bugs and glitches, I've had to retype some of my poems as new posts.  Therefore the date a poem is published on the blog does not necessarily correlate with when it was originally written or published.
